Monte Santo di Lussari

This pilgrimage site has a long history dating back to the 14th century. It's one of the landmarks of Tarvisio and a must-see site in this region. From the top, you can enjoy a view of the valley of Tarvisio and the surrounding hills. There are also typical alpine shelters that offer genuine cuisine and hospitality. If you had enough hiking, you can simply take a cable car to this destination.

Slizza gorge

This easy hike is a must-do in the region of Tarvisio. In the immediate vicinity of Tarvisio, this universally accessible hiking trail explores the spectacular Slizza Gorge, where the river of the same name has been carving through the rocks along these cliffs for millennia, burrowing inside forested landscapes of significant biodiversity.

Lago di Fusine

Fusine Lakes are known for their stunning natural beauty, surrounded by dense forests and towering mountain peaks. The larger lake is called Lago Superiore (Upper Lake), while the smaller one is known as Lago Inferiore (Lower Lake). The lakes are fed by mountain streams and are renowned for their crystal-clear turquoise waters, which reflect the surrounding scenery.

Fontanone Di Goriuda (Chiusaforte Waterfalls)

The majestic Fontanone di Goriuda waterfall emerges from the inside of the earth, cascading over a valley into a crystal-clear pool amidst a lush beech forest. A scenic path unveils the secrets of Goriuda, offering exclusive views of the valley and surrounding mountains from within the waterfall's embrace. The underground part of the Fontanone, where the waters flow inside the mountain, can be visited with the guides of the Julian Pre-Alps Park, using a dinghy to pass the first flooded chamber and then along an effortless equipped route.

Chiusaforte Waterfalls

Give yourself a Waterfall day. Make a car/hike trip from Chiusaforte towards Sella Nevea (or reverse direction) to visit many different waterfalls of this region. Along Rio Fredo

Roundtrip directly from the apartment for those who seek an easy hike with no people. At the end of Rio Fredo Valley, one has to cross the river which might be tricky if there was a lot of rain in the past few days. If you are a runner, this is a trail for you
